ECO WARRIORS TAKE THE SPOTLIGHT IN REPLAY’S LASERBLAST L.I.F.E. CAMPAIGN

For the unveiling of the innovative Laserblast L.I.F.E. collection, fashion brand Replay champions real-life activists as models.

Replay Laserblast L.I.F.E. capsule collection combines the innovative and eco-friendly Laserblast technology, which dramatically reduces water consumption, and the use of coloured mineral pigments of natural origin. The result? One of the most sustainable denim ranges.
To bring to life the eco-credentials of this distinctive range, Replay has cast models with a world-leading ethical stance – the real-life activists transforming the way we live today.
For women the eco warrior is Norwegian born model and actress Aleksandra Orbeck-Nilssen who has her own wildlife conservation trust,  Nanofasa  and is a leading spokesperson for African environmental issues around the world www.nanofasa.com
Replay’s outstanding feature is the dyeing process using natural pigments of mineral origin. The pulverized rock imbues the fabric with a distinctive faux vintage appeal thanks to the fine variegation of hues.
The women’s styles are the skinny Luz and the boy fit Pilar jeans in three different types of wash .

Asia's Finest Fashion Parade 2014 Held in London

Asia's Finest Fashion Parade 2014 held in  Kensington Palace's elegant Orangery showcased some of Pakistani's finest designers.

The glamorous event was organised by Mustang Productions & Encyclomedia’s and celebrated Asian fashion and Culture.

First on the catwalk was a relaxed chic collection by Faiza Samee, a multi-award winning design house from Pakistan.

Here we saw an eclectic mix of prints worn together creating a sophisticated bohemian look. Prints ranged from the intricate Asian patterns to the bold French Breton stripe and an English rose print.

Karachi based label AFH by Ayesha F. Hashwani fused east and west glamour for her evening wear collection.

Rich bold colours juxtaposed with the more understated creamy golds but all shone brightly with a touch of sparkling embellishments.

Art met Fashion with Studio S as designer Seher Tareen took inspiration from the Art Nouveau movement, especially Gustav Klimt's much loved The Kiss.

Seher's glittery version blazoned the front of a sunshine yellow tunic and more subtly on the side of a yellow evening gown. Headpieces by Lisa Jayne Millinery.

Fashion designer Anamika Khanna hails from Kolkata, India.

The collection featured intricate lace and embroidery on tops and the voluminous bottom half of the skin tight bell bottom trousers.

Graduating from National College of Arts (NCA) in Lahore, Zara Shahjahan opened her flagship store in 2012.  Her latest collection featured a modern print of rows of large red insects looking very much like cockroaches.

Somehow Zara has made this usually undesirable insect into a fashionable bug most fashionistas will be 'scurrying'  to the shops to wear. Lisa Jayne Millinery went for the more aesthetically pleasing butterfly for her headpieces.

It wasn't all clothes on display as Nazneen Tariq Khan showed off her sparkling fine jewellery.

Last but not least was Nomi Ansari who graduated from the Pakistan Institute of Fashion Design.

The collection had a masked ball theme, with a colour palette of black, white and gold. Gowns and dresses were adorned with the traditional sparkly sequins but also with the more edgy gold spiky studs.

Elaborate headpieces by Hertfordshire based Lisa Jayne Millinery.

Hailed The TV Ad Of The Summer from F&F‏

It’s been hailed the ‘TV ad of the summer’. The F&F Summer TV ad, which launched earlier this month, has taken the nation by storm with its fresh, vibrant visuals and of-the-moment soundtrack.
Directed by London based filmmaker and director Adam Mufti, who has previously worked with Karl Lagerfeld and Bjork, the clip brings the spirit of the collection to life with the vibrancy and textures of Rio.
The soundtrack is provided by huge house act FCL, two DJs and producers from Belgium, and their remake of ESP’s Chicago house hit ‘It’s You’.
The kaleidoscopic film features highlights from the F&F Womenswear collection, modelled by Cris Urena whose previous works include Victoria Secret, Ralph Lauren and DKNY, and sees summer staples mixed with bold and bright pieces, high-shine metallic sandals and playful printed tops. Highlights from the Menswear summer collection are modelled by Arthur Kulkov, who has worked with the likes of Dolce & Gabanna and Tommy Hilfiger, and showcases graphic print tees, bold colour chinos and cool accessories.

Omar Mansoor's Royal Ascot Collection

Following the strict dress code for the Royal Enclosure at Royal Ascot, couturier Omar Mansoor has created two key looks for the occasion:
Royal Enclosure: Formal daywear required.  Think well groomed glamour and sophistication
Both of Omar's dresses are glamorous and sophisticated.

Lace is THE on trend fabric to wear this season and so will be a firm fashion favourite at the races. Omar uses vintage lace over the classic shift dress. Colour palette navy and white.

Another fashion favourite is the wearing of all white. Omar marries the romantic lace and the cool white trends together to create a fresh crisp lady like look.

Hot to Trot is this dramatic red structured dress with statement shoulder detailing - definitely a winner at the fashion races.

Both dress styles fit the neckline and skirt length rule for the Royal Enclosure:
Neckline Rules:  No halter necks, strapless gowns, off the shoulder or spaghetti straps. Dress straps must be at least one inch wide. And wearing a jacket or matching bolero over a dress does not count – the actual dress has to follow the guidelines.

Skirt length Rule No minis or shorts, dress length should be no shorter than just above the knee
