James Lakeland Autumn/Winter 2010 Collection

This brand celebrates its 10th anniversary in Oct and the AW10 season shows that the focus on beautiful fabrics, quality and finish has not waned.

This classic collection is all about silhouettes and so the main colour palette is black, grey, white and navy. This leaves the eye drawn to the strong detailing on necklines, cuffs and form. Studs add drama and interest to classic staples; jewel embellished necklines bring sparkle and glamour to dresses and tunics; with leopard print and fur adding a touch of luxury. Leather and fine cotton leggings and cigarette pants are paired with structured jersey dresses and tops, whilst lace and zipped details on skirts and body con dresses bring a contemporary twist.

Statement pieces include the waistcoat with leopard print and fur collar, and two toned brown puffa jacket with fur caressing the shoulders and the front.

Contrasting accents of electric blue, red and aubergine add colour. My favourite – the electric blue box shaped jacket with fluted sleeves
