On the heels of the London Fashion Week Catwalks is Dulux's London Dogwalk

London streets were transformed into a colourful fashion runway as eight models complete with shaggy-haired Dulux dogs - strutted their stuff through the Capital to celebrate the paint firm's Superbrand status.

For the first time in its history, Dulux the paint brand has been named a top ten Superbrand ranking number 8 in the influential list of global brand strength, beating the likes of John Lewis, Marks & Spencer and Apple.

Timed to follow on from London Fashion Week, eight models in 1960s-inspired mini-dresses turned heads by performing an impromptu fashion show highlighting some of the most popular Dulux colours including Fire Cracker 3, Bermuda Cocktail 2 and Sulphur Springs 4.

The Superbrands ranking, now in its 13th year, is compiled following an independent survey of over 2,000 British consumers undertaken by The Centre for Brand Analysis.

Letty Edwards, UK Marketing Director of Dulux, said:
'Dulux has been bringing colour to people¹s lives for over 50 years and holds a unique relationship with British consumers. The Superbrands ranking is an indicator of the huge amount of affection and trust people have for the brand and we feel constantly proud to be helping our customers transform and improve their homes.'
Stephen Cheliotis, Chairman of the Superbrands Expect Council said:
'A Superbrand is one which constantly delivers excellence and quality, and this year¹s consumer poll reflects this. It is a huge achievement that Dulux has made the official 2012 list, revealing its influence on today's consumers.'
