Inspired by the sophisticated lifestyle of the 1950s, this
collection features evening gowns and cocktail dresses embellished with
Swarovski crystals, sequins, delicate lace and fringe detailing.
Luna Sky’s love of the Japanese cherry blossom Sakura is present
as the laser cut chiffon flowers adorning bodices and skirts. On the cocktail dress below, the Sakura
flowers sparkle as each one is encrusted with a Swarovski crystal in the
centre.
The flower also forms the pattern in Luna’s laser cut
embroidered lace
In soft peach the look is delicate and the pattern hazy creating
a romantic feel. Satin ribbon trims the
asymmetric hemline and strapless neckline whilst those glittering crystal
encrusted flowers encircle the waist.
In black over bronze the look is more dramatic and the
pattern defined. An on trend peplum in just
the black lace gives a chic finish.
Necklines vary from asymmetric, strapless and halter to the higher
boat and choker style.
However it is the back which often causes a stir.
This straight navy floor length gown with its high neckline
allows the eye to focus on the embellishment of the black crystals. With this gown you would make a stylish and
composed entrance into a room. But once inside
your back would reveal a seductive side with its sexy cut away.
The one shoulder neckline and gentle ruching of this lemon dress
creates a Grecian Goddess feel. And that goddess is surely Aphrodite as the
back plunges to almost nonexistence.
Asymmetric hemlines create fairytale trains to the shorter
fronts, some sweeping the floor.
Luna’s collections are
usually in her signature colour palette of black and white. This season she has
flirted with the lemon yellows, girlie peaches, romantic lilacs
and moody blues.
But she couldn’t resist using black for at least one dress.
This was the cute laser cut embroidered lace prom dress with a longer length underskirt in
black chiffon.
