Asia's Finest Fashion Parade 2014 Held in London
Asia's Finest Fashion Parade 2014 held in Kensington Palace's elegant Orangery showcased some of Pakistani's finest designers.
The glamorous event was organised by Mustang Productions & Encyclomedia’s and celebrated Asian fashion and Culture.
First on the catwalk was a relaxed chic collection by Faiza Samee, a multi-award winning design house from Pakistan.
Here we saw an eclectic mix of prints worn together creating a sophisticated bohemian look. Prints ranged from the intricate Asian patterns to the bold French Breton stripe and an English rose print.
Karachi based label AFH by Ayesha F. Hashwani fused east and west glamour for her evening wear collection.
Rich bold colours juxtaposed with the more understated creamy golds but all shone brightly with a touch of sparkling embellishments.
Art met Fashion with Studio S as designer Seher Tareen took inspiration from the Art Nouveau movement, especially Gustav Klimt's much loved The Kiss.
Seher's glittery version blazoned the front of a sunshine yellow tunic and more subtly on the side of a yellow evening gown. Headpieces by Lisa Jayne Millinery.
Fashion designer Anamika Khanna hails from Kolkata, India.
The collection featured intricate lace and embroidery on tops and the voluminous bottom half of the skin tight bell bottom trousers.
Graduating from National College of Arts (NCA) in Lahore, Zara Shahjahan opened her flagship store in 2012. Her latest collection featured a modern print of rows of large red insects looking very much like cockroaches.
Somehow Zara has made this usually undesirable insect into a fashionable bug most fashionistas will be 'scurrying' to the shops to wear. Lisa Jayne Millinery went for the more aesthetically pleasing butterfly for her headpieces.
It wasn't all clothes on display as Nazneen Tariq Khan showed off her sparkling fine jewellery.
Last but not least was Nomi Ansari who graduated from the Pakistan Institute of Fashion Design.
The collection had a masked ball theme, with a colour palette of black, white and gold. Gowns and dresses were adorned with the traditional sparkly sequins but also with the more edgy gold spiky studs.
Elaborate headpieces by Hertfordshire based Lisa Jayne Millinery.
