Barrus SS17 - London Fashion Week

For SS17 the main inspiration comes from the renowned works of Gustav Klimt.

Klimt's distinct spherical lines are recreated with voluminous draping.

His rich textures are brought to life in jewel tones of bronze and rose gold.

The collection embraces femininity with an innovative take on East meets West .

Turkish international model Tulin Sahin opens and closes the show. Tulin was crowned by Allure as one of the top 50 models in the world.

Slimline silk, French lace and delicate chiffon are contrasted with

heavily embellished sequins

and voluminous pleated ruffles for a distinctively elegant silhouette.

Barrus also remains true to the brand's origins continuing it study in to the old Turkish art of marbling throughout the collection,

Fine silks are in an array of colours mirroring the signature colour palette that Klimt is best known for.
