INIFD present Nisha Singh AW17 at London Fashion Week

This season the India based Inter-National Institute of Fashion Design (INIFD) in association with The London School of Trends (LST) presents A Chaotic Romance at London Fashion Week for the Autumn Winter 2017 season with Fashion Scout. One designer is Nisha Singh

Curiosities the AW17 collection by Nisha Singh has been inspired by the heritage of Indian art in the UK.

Singh has used oil and glue based hand painted techniques on both leathers and fabrics to decorate her garments.

Each piece is finished with the Kantha Stitch; a form of embroidery practiced by rural women of Bengal.

The collection is a mix of prêt-à-porter and demi couture which showcases Nishas craftsmanship through diagonally weaved leather and acid painting.

A Chaotic Romance is the result of a competition run by both institutes with over 2000 entries from across 60 premium INIFD Centres in India.
It will showcase the designs of 11 specially selected designers from India who have all been under the creative direction of Joe Toronka.
