Emilio De La Morena AW18 at London Fashion Week

For AW18 Emilio de la Morena draws inspiration from Barbara Steisand's  musical 'Yentl'.

Tailoring is sharp, double and single breasted jackets have strong padded shoulders and are cinched at the waist with tone on tone buckled belts. They are paired with A-line mini skirts, micro mini skirts and fitted trousers with ruffled hems.

Coats are oversized in tweeds and brocades with detachable fake fur collars and worn over monogrammed t-shirts.

Blouses in organza feature puffed peasant sleeves, elongated cuffs and bib fronts,

Colour palette is monochrome ivory and black with accents of emerald, fuchsia, citrine, teal and turquoise.

Fabrics include tweeds, metallic silk, cotton brocades, lace and organza.

Ruffles in brocade appear as sleeves and collars.

Silk flounces ornament blouses and column dresses.

Lace bare against the skin or layered tone on tone over silk provides subtle patternation and features in fitted cocktail dresses and gowns.

Shoes are designed in collaboration with Martinez in woven leather in the colours of the collection and manufactured in Emilio's home town Alicante. Jewllery by SafSafu.
