The Gayeon Lee Spring/Summer 2019 collection was inspired by Egon Schiele’s work, in particular the prints featuring defined stripes, spots, and a bold, natural colour palette.
With this collection, Gayeon has combined distinctive shapes with a contemporary interpretation of 50’s fashion silhouettes.
This classical elegance is emphasised with structured volumes and gamine looks, and brought up-to-date using intricate details and construction.
Feminine, fluent pieces are shown throughout, with cropped tops, midi-length skirts, pleated sleeves, dropped-shoulder oversized tops, and gathered-back shirts and dresses.
Using collages of fabric, geometric and abstract shapes, intricate ribbons and knots, pleats and gathers, and detailing that creates volume are the main features of this collection.
The selection of fabric ranges from plain cotton to printed silk and crepes, giving an array of daywear and eveningwear options for the Spring and Summer wardrobe.
