Jatin Kanwar SS17 - London Fashion Week

India based INIFD (Inter National Institute of Fashion Design) in association with LST (The London School of Trends) presented 'Preservation' at London Fashion Week. Preservation is the result of a competition run  in India by both institutes, showcasing 8 winners -
One of the winners being Jatin Kanwar.

Titled Pie in the Sky, inspiration came from a childhood hobby of admiring the magical sky, Kanwar produces a collection comparable to the galaxy,

Jatin's desired effect of projecting the galaxy was made by discharging printing, a bleached out effect achieved by using chemicals.

Experimental silhouettes with layering of denims, organza and khadi cotton.

Colour palette of greys, blues and blacks.
