Pradnya Kamble SS17 - London Fashion Week

India based INIFD (Inter National Institute of Fashion Design) in association with LST (The London School of Trends) presented 'Preservation' at London Fashion Week. Preservation is the result of a competition run  in India by both institutes, showcasing 8 winners -
One of the winners being Pradnya Kamble

Titled Petrichor - the pleasant smell that accompanies the first rain after a long period of dry warm weather. Inspired by the Kutch district in India, silhouettes are reminiscent of conical roofs and dome shaped walls.

Leather captures the dry ground whilst the silk chiffon captures the cooling effect and fluidity of the rain,

Brightly coloured embroidery and cut work on leather are key components.

A rich colour palette includes burgundy and emerald green
