Fyodor Golan SS19 at London Fashion Week

Titled: Lost & Found - the designer duo teamed up with the charity Plastic Oceans UK & used abandoned fishing nets (which form one of the largest dangers to marine life) on the set to illustrate the topic of plastic waste in our seas – conveying a positive message and supporting ocean clean up and repurposing waste.

Washed to shore, SS19 is about abandoned elements from various eras revisited. Such as the abstract silhouettes of cotton roped gathered mini-skirts evocative of 80s shapes

Here sporty surfer details are mixed with castaway elements found on beaches from pretty seashells and pearls to the not so pretty plastic and abandoned fishing nets. 

Sandy pebble beaches are shown as a cork jacket, fish scales as a sequined skirt teamed with recycled cotton shirt embellished with sustainable real pearls.

Nautical stripes are updated and styled as sails from the stiff triangular sails dress to the lowered billowing spinnaker skirt teamed with scuba style top.

Colour palette includes the sea blues of aqua and turquoise, the crashing wave whites as well as fuchsia and reds of the ocean coral life.

Prints contrast from strict graphics to monster oversized flowers inspired by american painter Jamie Adams. 

The designer duo collaborated with SEGA's Sonic The Hedgehog to create a feel of your favourite childhood pyjamas contemporarily reimagined. Look closely and you can see Sonic hiding among the check grid.
