Johnstons of Elgin SS19 at London Fashion Week

During London Fashion Week, Johnstons of Elgin showcased a new and cutting edge lightweight fabrication in cashmere silk and cotton illustrating the year round wearablitiy of cashmere.

Inspiration came from the island of Ischia situated in the bay of Naples resulting in a colour palette of pastels, hot pinks, lemon, electric blue along with cool neutrals

Three concepts to the collection take the wear from spring to summer:
Cruise inspired pieces for the early spring chill: handmade double face duster wrap coat in navy and ecru teamed with wide striped loose pants  Oversized cardigans also feature including a chunky 100% cashmere ribbed style showcasing the navy and ecru wide stripe that is dominant throughout this concept.

High summer – Dresses and cropped trousers in 100% cashmere are light and full. Blanket scarves in tissue weight cashmere and mesh constructions bring a feel of barely there against the skin.

Designed for warm climates are kimono cuts, voluminous dresses and pyjama styles.
