Tess Daly takes part in Bupa Westminster Mile as part of Feel Great Britain Campaign‏

On Sunday 24 May, thousands gathered together in the heart of London to run, jog and walk their way to their own feel great moment.
This is the first of many Bupa Feel Great Britain events that will be taking place across the country this year aiming to improve Briton's health and wellbeing with an exciting variety of activities for mind, body and soul.
The event wasn't just about running or walking the mile, as there were activities there for the whole family to enjoy.

Bupa created a carnival atmosphere in London's Green Park with a wellbeing themed festival for those who took part as well as spectators to explore. The event was packed full of feel great activities to explore for an afternoon of entertainment for all.

Bupa Feel Great Britain Ambassador Tess Daly also got involved in the action: Tess Daly comments; "I really enjoyed taking part in the Bupa Westminster Mile. The crowd were so supportive and the whole atmosphere was fantastic. It was lovely to see so many people getting involved either running the mile itself or simply enjoying a fun day out in the sunshine at Bupa's wellbeing festival in Green Park. It was a brilliant way to kick off the series of Feel Great Britain events and activities taking place throughout the year."

THE BUPA WESTMINSTER MILE: The mile route is one of the most iconic in the world, starting on The Mall and finishing in front of Buckingham Palace, taking in many of London's most famous landmarks along the way.

Dove's Invisible Dry Deo: Little Colourful Dress campaign‏

Dove will be launching the Little Colourful Dress campaign this month, to encourage women to feel inspired to look beyond the classic LBD this year and embrace its colourful counterpart.
This news celebrates Dove Invisible Dry deodorant, proven to leave no white marks on a remarkable 100 colours.

Stats from the survey found:
A huge two thirds (63%) of British women would choose a LBD for an event because of its reputation as a timeless classic.
Body confidence is cited as the key factor steering women away from wearing colourful clothes, with 79% of UK women saying their skin tone, body shape and not being ‘slimmer’ are what directs them to darker colours.
A fifth of women claim they are more likely to wear darker hues at the start of the week, with the greatest proportion of women (30%) choosing to wear dimmer colours on a Monday. The favourite day for choosing colour was revealed as Sunday, followed by Friday.
Two thirds of UK women (60%) say that wearing a colourful dress makes them feel happier and more confident compared to when they wear a black dress.
London ladies are the most likely to choose a colourful outfit to feel more powerful, with 22% citing this as their main reason – almost twice the number of any other region in the UK.

Dove has also partnered with fashion stylist Alex Longmore, confidence coach Natalie Thomas and Dove ambassador and Pantone Color Institute Executive Director, Leatrice Eiseman to form the Colour Confidence Team; a trio who will be lending their expertise to ensure that women across the UK feel excited to embrace colour into their wardrobe, rather than shy away.

Leatrice says: “Choosing colour can make women feel more energised and so wearing red on a Monday gives us a great start to the week. As an alternative to black, women could incorporate the colour purple as it has a dominant blue undertone and can release tension-fighting endorphins to combat stress. If you're feeling particularly bold - why not break the mould with a vibrant yellow? It stimulates the brain, heightening awareness and making us feel more focused and decisive."

Fashion Stylist, Alex’s top tips on embracing colour
1. Confidence is the key with colour, step out of your comfort zone when out shopping and try on as many different colours as you can. Think of it as a fun mission and take into the changing room as many bright items as you can find on the shop floor. Tell yourself you are only trying them on, that will take away expectation of trying to find that perfect ‘something’ and also help you to feel in control with your shopping. You will know instinctively which hues work on you and which don’t. You will notice when wearing colour how it instantly evens out skin tone, enhances your features and lifts your mood.
2. For those of you that are seriously nervous about dressing colourfully, then I suggest starting your colourful change slowly and first investing with an accessory such as a bright handbag, pair of shoes or a scarf. This is a great way to inject colour into your wardrobe, plus it’s fun for summer and colour always get compliments. A little colour goes a long way so it will instantly brighten your outfit and you will feel the colourful benefits without a complete wardrobe overhaul.
3. Colour can be more empowering to wear than dark tones. We often think of black as a ‘forgiving colour’ and that it ‘hides a multitude of sins’ but this couldn’t be further from the truth. It can make us look drained, can dull our complexion and certainly isn't feminine or good for our confidence. Colour is great for all occasions be it a special event or something eye-catching for your work wardrobe and nothing beats a little colourful dress to make a statement of confidence; overall we give a much better impression to others when we embrace colour.

Confidence Coach, Natalie top tips on embracing colour:
1. Yellow is a bright and vibrant colour which can make you feel happy and cheerful. A yellow notebook/journal helps with focusing on a goal, retaining information or decision-making.
2. Red is a bold colour that motivates and inspires you to take action. Red is great to place on a vision board if you need energy to tackle your goals. Red can also be used if you need a confidence boost.
3. Orange is an energetic colour which is useful when maintaining a positive outlook on life. Orange helps with social communication so bring your orange clipboard if you need enthusiasm when presenting an idea to others.
4. Purple is a creative colour which is good for inspiration. Purple helps to get your creative juices flowing so the next time you are brainstorming be sure to use a purple pen.
5. Pink is a soothing colour which evokes calm feelings and is also great for stress relief. Pink can be used for reassurance and to rebalance emotional distress order pink flowers for the office when you have several deadlines.

The Dove LCD campaign celebrates Dove Invisible Dry deodorant, a range of deodorants proven to leave no white marks on a remarkable 100 colours. Dove Invisible Dry allows you to embrace confidence-boosting colourful clothing every day without the worry of unwanted deodorant marks, giving your summer wardrobe a new found freedom. www.dove.co.uk

F&F AW15 Womenswear Show

F&F showed a preview of their AW15 collection at the plush Savoy hotel in London.
Womenswear returns to retro spanning late 60s to the early 70s.

Video of the show:

This season, signature styles of the 1970's era are given an exquisite feel. Textures are nostalgic with the resurgence of suede, shearling and patch work,

Tailored culottes, jackets and a trench arrive in real suede leather with the look of crushed velvet.

There is further focus on contrasting textures with chiffon dresses worn with lightweight knitted roll necks.

Colour palette is very 70's with clashing pinks, berrys, rust and buttery camels with pops of orange and teal .

Outerwear features a bohemian shearling jacket in camel hues,

Faux fur accents are a strong accessories trend in striking stoles

Layering is key with high waisted trousers, shrunken jackets, pussy bow blouses creating a vintage inspired look.

Shift dresses create a fun late 60's look

Silhouettes are enhanced with the addition of a clean leg boot in rich wintery tones or a paired down fringe loafer.

The top handle shoulder bag further anchor the 70's inspiration.

Available soon in over 850 stores and online: http://www.clothingattesco.com/

Opening the show was Paloma Faith and wearing F& F from their new AW15 collection
