Selfridges launches its Biggest Ever Christmas Shop

Selfridges in London opened its biggest ever Christmas Shop this September creating a festive wonderland.

The shop is located on the Lower Ground floor in the Ultralounge and customers can breathe in the ‘scentacular’ aroma  – a bespoke smell of marzipan and ginger cake warmly greets you as you enter and then as you walk through the shop, fresh Christmas pine scents surround you and add to the Nordic wonderland theme.

In the shop are:
Decorations – over 85,000 decorations from miniature Buddhas to Geishas, Hanukkah candles, Ganesh and Russian Dolls. Plus the patriotic theme is there for this Jubilee and Olympic/Paralympic year with British inspired decorations such as the Union Jack bauble.

Trees – over 500 Christmas trees, enough to fill an Olympic pool three times over. there are 28 different types of trees including snow-covered, glitter covered, pre-lit Quebec pine or the more authentic Woodland Pine. The must have tree for every fashionista is the Fashion Tree – a twig tree offering chic and minimal look.

Wrapping- included in the many wrapping paper options is the fool proof ‘Man Wrap’ which is similar to a lint roller but with adhesive wrapping paper.
