Max Mara AW17 at Milan Fashion Week

Colour palette of camel, cognac, casha, grey, light gold and emphatic red - the look is at once discreet and head-turning.

There's a new full skirted silhouette,

slouchy glamour in a double face camel hair sweatshirt,

Carefree elegance in the knits which are the key to this season's mood; rich cables and ribs.

The key item is the coat; The newest of all are signature classics realised in intriguing hybrids; camel hair artfully tailored with shearling and bonded knit.

Cardigan coats that articulate a chic, youthful zeal.

A modernist take on cat eye sunshades,

....a deconstructed bag with a shearling liner that spills over to the outside,

and a pointy toed pump complete the look.

Lama Jouni AW17 at London Fashion Week

Lama Jouni debuts her AW17 collection at London Fashion Week as part of a Fashion Forward Dubai  (FFWS), Institute of Luxury Fashion & Style Dubai (FAD Dubai) and Fashion Scout initiative.

Inspired by the French colonization in Lebanon, Lama embodies the cultural change that happened within her country's post colonization and how such a tragedy can have a positive impact.

Video of the show's finale:

The collection celebrates the female form in a very subtle yet minimal way, transforming trousers by adding slanted cuts, side frills and side slits, pairing them with hoodies and jackets embellished with oversized gold buckles and buttons.

The colour palette is of fiery reds and subtle cool light khaki green

 contrasting with floral prints.

Fabrics include crepe satin, silk nylon blends, leather and mixed lurex.

The finale focuses on grand movement, colour and texture, a leather bustier teamed with silk.

January 2014 - Missoni opens its first Boutique in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

Missoni announces the opening of its first boutique in Saudi Arabia at the Centria Mall, in the heart of Riyadh.
The new boutique follows the new concept at the Missoni boutiques in Milan, Harrods, London, Hong Kong, Delhi and Doha, designed in collaboration with the architect-designer Patricia Urquiola, to maintain the continuity and consistency of this project.

The concept brings to life the Missoni language with an environmental interpretation, playing on the tones and textures of different materials, from wood to etched mirrors and copper-finish metal to polychrome lacquers, creating an evocative, light and luminous environment, specially created to give fashion special visibility and emphasis.
Two side walls help define the space: the one on the right has been designed with backlit metal, a perforated and worked “screen” that winds its way towards an open space, culminating in boiserie. This woodwork covers a bronze mirror which has been added to the furnishing of the boutique as a way to expand the space and conceal the storage area.
The boutique is divided through a sequence of copper glass and mirror screens that help maintain the private area in the Women’s collections, whilst also creating a space for the Girls’ collection at the rear of the store.
The boutique covers 225 square metres and displays Women’s, Men’s, Children’s and Beachwear collections.
