Kobi Levi's latest Footwear Art Design - The Cheerleader

It's the day for quirky shoes articles and here's the latest design from Kobi Levi:

Cheerleader blue and Cheerleader red 

Kobi was inspired by the unique combination of sexiness and innocence of the American Cheerleader.

Heels are knee-high socks,  the back is a pleated two coloured mini skirt over frilly white panties. and of course the pom pom created in thin leather laces. 

I know cheerleaders are American , but the red, white and blue colours are just right to cheer on the British Olympic team and to wear with your Queen's Diamond Jubilee outfit.

The shoe sculptures - created for art installations, events, venues etc and can be adapted into items like flower pot arrangements or even bouquets for a bride.

Guardian Angel

The ‘art to wear’ shoes – special edition themed designs which you can actually wear.

Clients can choose from one of the 40 already established designs or commission a brand new concept.

Themes already designed are Swan Lake, Mad Hatter’s Tea Party. Vampire Diaries, Wizard of Oz and Rubix Cube to name a few.

Up and Coming Shoe Designers from London College of Fashion

London College of Fashion’s Graduate School showcased the work of more than 200 students throughout a festival of events running during January and February 2012.

Inspired by the Japanese Kimono, she adapts the aesthetics and principles of Kimono wrapping into the scale and techniques of footwear.

Shoes for Royal Ascot

Specialising in bridal shoes, Rachel Simpson didn’t really have Royal Ascot in mind when she designed her collection. But you have to admit; her coloured creations would set off your Ascot hat and dress quite nicely.

The classic Mary Jane is always a good bet at the races – the style is feminine but the heel is not too high that your feet are going to be in serious pain at the end of the day.

Here are a few Mary-Janes:

Hettie

 Hettie is a classic Mary Jane but with a bit of sparkle. In navy suede with silver panels which are finished with handmade trims in diamante and pearl.  Heel height 8cm Price £160

Dolly

For those who want more stability whilst trying to walk on grass, then ‘Dolly’ the low heeled (6cm) Mary Jane will be the answer. The floral suede finish fabric is an ideal print for the summer. Price £145.

Marilyn

The 1950’s retro full skirts are in all vogue this season and they are the perfect ladylike style for Royal Ascot, plus they look great with large hats.  Complete the look with the sexy high heeled (9.5cm) ‘Marilyn’ a 1950’s inspired suede court shoe with asymmetric satin bows. Lilly

Rosalyn

Tilly is a ballroom dance inspired peep toe with a supportive t-bar. Comes in silver satin with metallic silver leather detail or in coral. Heel 6cm Price £145.

Lola

Lola ‘ in shameless scarlet suede is a round toe style with a teardrop cut out detail all tied up with a beautiful scarlet organza ribbon. 8cm heels Price £150
