New Fragrance - Nina Ricci's 'La Tentation de Nina'

Nina Ricci has collaborated with the luxury French bakery Laduree and created the sweet new limited edition fragrance ‘La Tentation de Nina’

Master perfumer Oliver Cresp created the fragrance incorporating a macaron accord whilst the New Creation Pastry Chef at Laduree, Vincent Lemains created a limited edition macaron especially for the fragrance.
Fruity top notes: Italian bergamot and grapefruit.
Heart notes: a maroon accord of raspberries, almonds, lemons and Bulgarian rose absolute.
Base notes: Bourbon vanilla, white musk and sandalwood

In the Nina’s signature apple shape, the bottle is a deep pink with a matt finish. With such an intense colour and a mouth watering macaron fragrance who could blame Nina from taken a bite out of it. The bite provides a sharp contrast from the matt pink with its mirror effect gold.

And the macaron?  A limited edition just for the launch of the fragrance. Bright pink topped with gold leaf and raspberry flavoured with almonds, lemons and rose.

Didit Hediprasetyo Spring/Summer Couture Collection 2014 from Paris

The cut of the collection is straight with the emphasis on waists. Inspirations came from the Napa Valley, feminine fifties and old Hollywood style. Colours from a Californian season

A slender vine in a chic jumpsuit consisting of a lambskin shirt-front and trousers that come in Prince of Wales check,

and houndstooth of Songket (a traditional handwoven Indonesian brocade),

Dresses and leather bomber jackets are embroidered with leaves and vine shoots

whilst masculine fabrics give class to high waisted fitted trousers that emphasize the waist and give a slight curve to the hips through a draped pleat.

The spirit of Old Hollywood underlies draped necklines and long sleek silhouettes.

Skirt styles range from the below the knee full circle of the 50s....

... to the short body con look

In contrast to the earthy tones and leather, the finale saw an ethereal touch of long, empire-cut mermaid dresses, whose cloth was embellished with broderie anglaise, ornamental vines, bunches of grapes and delicate vine leaves created by the Lesage company – like an infinitely "couture" signature.

House of Holland Spring/Summer 2014 Collection

Titled HomeGirls, Holland was inspired by the urban streets of South America and the tattoo parlours in Venice Beach.

Feminine floral tattoo designs are used in the lace pattern on full skirted dresses and figure hugging pencil skirts.
.

Or as lace applique trimming silk slip dresses.

The more masculine tattoo designs of religious hearts and angels are softened on on a background print of fluffy coloured clouds.

Other prints included the gingham in a patchwork of various sizes.

Animal magnetism came out in crocodile and leopard.

A great choice from the ladylike full skirted to the bodycon sexy style.

Fashion Scout's Ones To Watch Spring/Summer 2014 show - Hannah Williams

Hannah Williams of UCA Epsom was also awarded the Special MUUSE prize for her collection of silicone garments. which was inspired by the work of sculptor Daniel Arsham.

Pale pastels, frayed hems and loose cuts gave the collection a simplistic first impression.

But on closer inspection these shapes were like rubber casts ready to create another style as tactile trompe l’oeil brought a subtle 3D dimensional outline of lady like jackets with strings of pearls and trench coats.

Fashion Scout's Ones To watch Spring/Summer 2014 - Renli Su

Another emerging designer in the Fashion Scout's Ones To Watch show was Renli Su.
