Ashish AW13 Collection - ~Working Girl

Last season the Ashish girl was a young maths geek. This season she is all grown up and working.  Her new work attire is not inspired by the office, but from manual workwear:

 the high visibility yellow vest with reflective tapes, aprons, boiler suits. 

Prints are of checks,

 tartan and......

....  the black and white distinct pattern found on the Keffiyeh (Arab headdress).

 She is the best dressed labourer on the building site.

 Her sweaters may have added plastic pockets and silver reflective straps, but they are of luxurious  mohair.  

 And that tartan blanket she wraps around herself to keep warm on her tea breaks is sparkling with sequins.

This season the Ashish girl is a maths geek and so a fashion prime number.

There’s a numeric print on oversized wonky boyfriend shirts and denims.

This collection takes the idea of mix and match literally, slicing through garments to create new hybrids such as the above denim/sequin jacket.

Trousers are half and half: one leg sequined whilst the other is matt.....

..... one leg skinny whilst the other is palazzo style.

Sequin statements begin with I'm Serious and end in Tres Fatique

Ashish sequins shine gloriously in a shaggy tinsel style.

Plain sequin tops look day casual teamed with jogging pants and denims .......

.........but are completely backless revealing a sexy side (check out the retreating models in the above images)

Love the see through sequin spotted top and skirt both teamed with a crisp white wonky shirt.

The collection's achieved style is a random just thrown together look but as a maths geek, is it calculated?

Ashish AW12 Catwalk Collection at London Fashion Week

Titled 'Bollywood' this was a collection of grunge meets glamour meets Hare Krishna.

This Ashish woman mixes spiritual yoga at the palace of Jaipur with......

..... midnight beach raves in Goa. 

For the spiritual Hare Krishna chants are written on scarves, skirts, tops and trackpants.

 Yin and Yan motifs on sequined black or pale pink shorts, jackets, trackpants and tops.

And Buddhas on dresses and tops.

For the festival raves, there's the Acid House smileys on jumpers and shorts

The hallucinogenic prints.

And the t-shirt dress that give the finger to the idea of giving up earthly possessions.

Colours palette spans from the soft pastels to the fluorescent brights.
