Last year Children In Need’s Pudsey Bear showed he had style. This year he does it again and dons more designer wear:  
Burberry Pudsey

Made from quilted brown leather with suede paws, nose, ears and eye patch. He wears a version of the  iconic trench coat and carries the Duck umbrella. Turn his collar up and you’ll see the Burberry check.

Katie Hillier Pudsey

Made from  white nappa, he’s definitely dotty with large spots of suede and fluro silk cordings in bright acid colours and embellished with flowers of ceramic stones handcrafted in London.  

Loewe Pudsey

Made in Loewe’s signature Oro coloured suede with brown leather trim drawing inspiration from their iconic Amazonia bag. Custom gold hardware makes his nose and eye whilst the bag sports a miniature gold hardware Pudsey charm. The pink eyepatch adds a pop of colour.

Mulberry Pudsey

Made in the Mulberry Somerset factory, this bear is of light brown soft suede, The pattern on his eyepatch is that of the  Mulberry tree  whilst one of his paws has an imprint of this iconic logo. He carries the classic Bryn satchel.

Atlhough you can’t see it, he has a leather heart sewn inside him.

Henry Holland Pudsey

A bold red Pudsey wears Henry Holland’s AW12 fabric of blue houndstooth for his eyepatch and suit. Showing his extrovert side the sleeves are fringed with Mongolian Goat fur and black Swarovski crystal sparkle on his paws, eye, nose and mouth.

Louis Vuitton's Pudsey for BBC Children in Need's Designer Pudsey Collection

Louis Vuitton’s Pudsey definitely knows how to make an entrance with his very own custom Alzer suitcase (which I’m sure he’ll let you used separately for special travel occasions).

Designed by Kim Jones (head designer at Louis Vuitton) with the collaboration of Katie Grand, super stylist and editor in chief of LOVE, Pudsey’s look is British punk meets Vuitton heritage.

Pudsey wears a Stephen Sprouse graffiti logo print in deep pink and blue from the LV2000 collection. Teamed with a pink calfskin leather studded biker gilet and pink fluffy shearling paws. 

The conical shaped studs spell out 'Louis Vuitton' on the back..

The bandana is understated in grey and blue. The eye is a large pyramid shaped stud and both eye and nose are gold covered.

And check out his spiky gold finger tips.

He also comes along with his own gold padlock and a Stephen Sprouse print handkerchief.

The Mulberry Pudsey for BBC Children in Need's Designer Pudsey Collection

Mulberry’s Pudsey  for BBC Children in Need’s Designer Pudsey Collection, is going for the classic heritage look.  Designed by their Creative Designer Emma Hill and handmade at their Somerset factory from their finest Mulberry leather.  

The main colour is a rich tan with coffee brown for the bandana and paw prints. 

The soft suede bandana is scattered with imprints of the iconic Mulberry tree logo.

 

His shiny silver stud nose is also adorned with the Mulberry tree pattern. And you just have to look deep in to his eye as you realise it is a Mulberry inscribed rivet - dare I say it? He's so riveting!. Mulberry Pudsey is the perfect accessory.

Topshop Unique Pudsey for BBC Children in Need Designer Pudsey Collection

For BBC Children in Need’s Designer Pudsey Collection, Emma Farrow, the design manager of Topshop, turned to the Topshop Unique SS12 collection for inspiration. And what was the inspiration behind Topshop Unique SS12? – The glamour and opulence of Ancient Egypt brought in to modern urban London.

From top to paw, Pudsey is wearing a modern monochrome take on the ancient hieroglyphics; black on white with a contrasting white on black for his ears (only the front) and paws.  There is a faint shimmer to the fabric giving Pudsey a pharaohic glow.

The eye bandage in sliver spangled metallic fabric would make any Egyptian mummy proud.  

His eye is that of a black button adorned with a silver scarab beetle, revered in ancient Egypt as the symbol of resurrection and worn as a good luck charm.

Around his neck is he wears a chunky silver chain complete with charms of the sacred scarab beetle, and other good luck amulets such as the single eye and hand.

The Desinger Pudsey Collection is being exhibitied on the 2^nd floor of Liberty in London until 19 Nov.

PPQ's Pudsey for BBC Children in Need Designer Pudsey Collection

PPQ's Pudsey is ready for a night on the town.

Looking dapper but oh so cuddly in soft black velvet.

 
The black sets off his light gold bandana with its pale blue crystals . You can see he has a twinkle in his crystal eye.

To finish off his evening attire, Pudsey wears a slim grosgrain ribbon bow tie adorned with another crystal. PPQ Pudsey is definitely putting on the Glitz!

Patrick Grant's Pudsey for Children in Need Designer Pudsey Collection

Patrick Grant's Pudsey is going for the Savile Row bespoke tailoring which is a 'must have' for any sartorial gentleman's wardrobe.

Handmade in Norton & Sons Savile Row workroom, only the best cloth is used:

Melton cloth from Hainsworth in Yorkshire for the plain black wool bandana and one paw. Wool & cashmere tartan woven by locharron in Selkirk for the body. This dashing black and red tartan was originally made for the AW2009 collection of Grant's menswear label E. Tautz.

Grant's Pudsey has the endearing floppy look which comes from loosely stuffing Pudsey with discarded wool, cotton, linen and silk scraps from the tailors board in the Savile Row workroom.

Jonathan Saunders' Pudsey for Children in Need Designer Pudsey collection

Scottish designer Jonathan Saunders couture Pudsey is a little smaller than the rest of the bears in BBC Children in Need’s Designer Pudsey Collection, but he’s quite a little sturdy fellow, don’t you think?

Saunders design signatures are print and colour which is reflected in Pudsey’s outfit.

The print is geometric in design in strong colours of blue, reds and green taken from Saunders AW11 womenswear collection.

It’s a little confusing as the colours of the Saunders Pudsey exhibited in the Liberty store are different to those of the eBay image. The bandana and chest are black and green whilst on eBay the bandana is pale blue and red, and chest tonal blues. The ears are the same tonal blue though.

Whatever the colour way  is, this Saunders Pudsey is sure to brighten up your day.

Katie Hillier's Pudsey for Children in Need Designer Pudsey Collection

For the fourth couture outfit from the BBC Children in Need's Designer Pudsey Collection it's the Bohemian festival look by accessories designer Katie Hillier, so you can expect lots of detailing.

Faded blue denim is trimmed with contrasting pastel coloured stitching. The denim was bought from charity shops and then aged by washing it with stones.

His bandana and chest is a patchwork of pink Liberty print fabrics with a scattering of shiny flat round stud buttons in a rainbow of colours. 

On his chest amongst these buttons is a green shiny heart. And you can just see a label pinned on saying 'Love Hillier xx'

On his back is a trendy exposed zip.

And again Hillier shows her love with a back patch  saying ‘love Hillier xx’

On one paw is a colourful cluster of multi sized patterned buttons. You have to agree he's looking as cute as a button in this outfit.

Erdem's Pudsey for Children in Need Designer Pudsey Collection

Canadian born designer Erdem (Moralioglu) has created our fourth Pudsey from the Designer Pudsey Collection.

Erdem’s Pudsey is getting in touch with his feminine side by wearing the floral patterns  straight from  Erdem’s SS12 women’s collection. 

The main pattern used is the Botanical Lemon Burst print, with his bandana in the mini burst print with its delicate red flowers. The style is simple allowing the print to take centre stage.

Henry Holland's Pudsey for Children in Need Designer Pudsey Collection

Our third couture outfit from the BBC Children in Need's Designer Pudsey Collection is by Henry Holland (owner of House of Holland).

Holland decided to punk up Pudsey by contrasting the pastel shades of the House of Holland tartan print from his SS12 collection with dark leather paws and ears. 

The bandana also goes dark but keeps its iconic spots, this time with a metallic sparkle. Holland  accessorises with a chunky chain and padlock around Pudsey’s neck.  The padlock has ‘House of Holland’ printed on it.

Giles Deacon's Pudsey for Children in Need Designer Pudsey Collection

Our second couture outfit from the BBC Children in Need's Designer Pudsey Collection has been created by Giles Deacon (owner of fashion label GILES) .

Deacon’s Pudsey has the showbiz/sci-fi look going on with an all over silver leather outfit.

The spotty bandana Pudsey usually wears has been replaced with lace effect leather sparkling with tiny Swarovski Elements bringing texture to his otherwise smooth shiny appearance. His silver stud eye lies in the middle of a star shaped patch. 

Extra long strips of leather fringing adorn his back and sleeves ready for Pudsey to give a shooting star impersonation. Already a star, these will raise Pudsey to new heights!

Children in Need Designer Pudsey Collection - the Liberty Bear

BBC Children in Need have launched the 'Designer Pudsey Collection' with Pudsey Bear dressed in couture outfits designed especially for him.

These couture bears are being auctioned on eBay and will help raise money for disadvantaged children in the UK.

If you want to see the couture designs up close and personal, you can see most of the bears on the  2^nd floor of Liberty in London until 19 Nov.

One of the Designer Pudsey bears has been created by Liberty and of course is made up of a patchwork of Liberty prints.

He’s carrying a cute little Liberty’s purple shopping bag full of Liberty prints proving a bear can never have enough clothes.

On his bottom he has the purple Liberty label - maybe for extra padding?

All the prints are floral except for the orange bandana over his right eye, which has a mix of cartoon images.
