The Muppets Movie UK Premiere

Thurs 26 Jan saw the red carpet UK premiere of the long awaited new Muppets movie at the Mayfair Hotel. It’s hard to believe that it has been 11 years since the Muppet’s last big screen feature film especially as they don’t appear to have aged at all! And it isn’t just their youthful looks which have stayed fresh, but their jokes and one liners too - this is truly a LOL kind of movie

The ever youthful Miss Piggy was of course the Star attraction and looked dazzling in a silver leather dress embroidered with Swarovski Elements which was designed exclusively for her silver screen premiere by Giles Deacon. Deacon took his inspiration for the hand cut leather fringed dress from his SS12 catwalk collection.
The leather dress was a juxtapose of demure and sexy, a high neck  Peter Pan collar with laser cut detailing iwas sweet and innocent whilst the floor length fringes teasingly gave glimpses of Miss Piggy’s shapely legs as she sashayed.
Giles was there at the premier to walk Miss Piggy down the red carpet. Kermit did look a bit green with envy.

And if this all becomes too overwhelming then flop down on to a few muppet cushions.

There are two shapes: a Muppet shaped character cushion and the Muppets character themed square cushions. Our favourite is of course the Pretty in Pink Miss Piggy
Available from Amazon, Debenhams and Tesco.

The red carpet London premiere was tonight and Miss Piggy made an appearance arm in arm with designer Giles Deacon who had created her exclusive silver leather dress for the occassion. Hope Kermit was not too jealous.

Giles Deacon's Pudsey for Children in Need Designer Pudsey Collection

Our second couture outfit from the BBC Children in Need's Designer Pudsey Collection has been created by Giles Deacon (owner of fashion label GILES) .

Deacon’s Pudsey has the showbiz/sci-fi look going on with an all over silver leather outfit.

The spotty bandana Pudsey usually wears has been replaced with lace effect leather sparkling with tiny Swarovski Elements bringing texture to his otherwise smooth shiny appearance. His silver stud eye lies in the middle of a star shaped patch.
Extra long strips of leather fringing adorn his back and sleeves ready for Pudsey to give a shooting star impersonation. Already a star, these will raise Pudsey to new heights!

Remember these couture bears can be seen on the 2nd floor of Liberty in London from today until 19 Nov.
If you can’t visit Liberty to see these cute bears then go online to view:  www.bbc.co.uk/pudsey.

All the bears in the collection are being auctioned on eBay to help raise money for disadvantaged children in the UK. If you want to bid for Deacon’s Designer Pudsey go to:
At the time of print the top bid was £200
