Selected from a long list of emerging fashion designers, Susan Fang's debut collection 'Airwave' was chosen to feature in Fashion Scout's Ones to Watch show.
Fang explores the interaction of the body with clothing through textiles, colour contrasts and a variety of silhouettes.
Strips of fabric are loosely interwoven creating texture, concertina movement and a 3D effect.
When not 'airwave' weaving, Fang maintains the light airy feel of the collection with sheer net overlay trousers..
Colour palette is fresh with reds, yellows and bright blues.
Here size doesn't matter as one size fits all due to the air-weave technique allowing the fabric a natural mobility from 2-D to 3-D. The shadows and amount of colour shown changes with each different body contour that allows the wearer herself to become and individual art piece.
