Kirk Originals Eyewear celebrate 20th anniversary with 2 new styles.

It’s hard to believe that the trendy and luxury eyewear brand Kirk Originals has been in the industry for 20 years.

But they have, and to celebrate this milestone they are set to launch two new styles to their eyewear collection Beam and their sunglasses collection Sunbeam.
Electra - ruby

The new shapes are Marius and Electra and come in two new gem colourways – ruby and sapphire.

Marius -sapphire
The Beam and Sunbeam collections are made entirely from acrylic which give brighter colours and are hardwearing but softer on the skin.

Kirk Originals flagship store is at

Kirk Originals are beaming with Delight over their New Eyewear Collection

Eyewear brand Kirk Originals have created BEAM, a brand new collection made entirely of acrylic. Acrylic is not a new material for Kirk Originals as they have been making acrylic temples for their past collections since the late 1990s, but this is the first collection with acrylic fronts.
Gemma in Coral

The frames are gloriously oversized with soft lines and curves, but with all Kirk frames it’s the fun colours that create the biggest impact. For the Beam collection, Kirk has used a new process of colour marriage which allows the bright translucent hues to merge and separate in tones of fluorescent orange, pink, yellow and aqua, and so making each frame unique with its own colour identity.

Blaze in Amethyst
6 styles: Ray, Flare, Blaze, Gemma. Vega and Miranda
5 colours:  Amber, coral, aquamarine, amethyst and emerald
RRP: 325 Euros

The sun is shining - Look cool in Kirk Originals Sunglasses

It’s as though the British weather can’t make up its mind- one minute it’s cold and we’re all wearing boots and jackets, then the next the sun is shining and we’re shedding all the layers.

Today is one of those hot sunny days and it’s time to air those sunglasses.

Those quirky eyewear makers Kirk Originals also design sunglasses and their hot new collection is:
AFTERGLOW
Already been recognised as being THE sunglasses to wear by Basso & Brooke when their models strutted the SS12 catwalk wearing them.
DIVA in black and scarlet red

With large dramatic frames in the classic shades of heavy block black and tortoise, they’ve also introduced the lighter opaque shades of navy and ochre. Inside the frames there is the glitz and glamour sparkle of glittering scarlet red, silver or gold
The names are also dramatic with the voluptuously rounded Diva; the larger than life Goddess; and the Nymphette whose frame cheekily sweeps up at the end.

STUD in black and silver
And for the boys there are the straight topped Loverboy; the high bridged Stud and the slightly rounded Stallion.

Omar Mansoor AW11 Collection at London Fashion Week

The title of Omar’s evening gowns collection was ‘Paradise Lost’
and he took his inspiration from John Milton’s epic poem of the same name, in which Adam and Eve’s temptation by the fallen angel Satan and their expulsion from the Garden of Eden is described.
The colour palette was a range of purple shades from the palest greyish purple to deeper but muted hues;

and a range of muted greens from the mustard greens to olives.

The purples represent flowers
whilst the shades of green suggest the leaves in the Garden of Eden.
The opening gown shone with its metallic gold panels emblazoned on the folded chiffon bodice like the rays of the sun.
A short cocktail dress seemed to represent the happy days in the garden with its shiny satin silk in top pleated in shades of fresh lime greens and its floaty chiffon skirt dancing with its embellished flowers.
Layers of chiffon fall like delicate shreds to form the skirt of a satin silk ruched cocktail dress in light aniseed green,
whilst a long simple lilac gown in satin silk was given texture with a crisscross patterned bodice.
Delicate woven lace flowers, layers of sheer fabrics, asymmetrical hemlines,

and dramatic necklines symbolise the story of sin, angels, curiosity and beauty.

Twinkling eyes? Frame them with Kirk Originals Saturn collection

Make sure your twinkling eyes never dim by framing them with eyewear from Kirk Originals' Saturn collection.

Each design in this collection (which of course is named after the planet Saturn), bears the name of one of the many Saturn moons/satellites. For that solar starry effect, these glasses are emblazoned with coloured glitter on the interior which twinkle through the semi transparent frames.

This is the collection popular with the more quietly confident but budding extrovert as the glitz and glamour is undercover only to reveal itself fleetingly when the light catches it as the wearer moves.

Loving the Phoebe with its half frame and feminine cat like shape. You can softly purr in the more subtle colours of grey, brown and green, or you can meow loudly in fiery red, cool turquoise, lip smacking cherry and sun kissed orange.

All frames are handmade and hand painted in France, but you can buy them here at their Flagship store: 6 Conduit Street, W1S 1XE, 020 7499 0060,
