Nina Naustdal - Gold Collection AW13

Inspiration for Nina Naustdal's AW13 Gold Collection was taken from raw diamonds in natural and unique colour ways of emerald and amber.

 The bold print on sumptuous silks reflected the iridescence of these precious jewels

Animal prints were also present  looking more exotic....

The leopard bathed in sunset orange

 or tamed as the background to a more cultured and classic equestrian style 

 .....whilst the snake print was surrounded by a swirling hypnotic kaleidoscope of colours, 

Fabrics included silks, floaty chiffons with accents of velvet and leather panel detailing.

The collection ranged from day wear with tailored separates.

London Fashion Week AW13 - Day Four of People Watching

London Fashion Week wouldn't be the same without conceptual artist Pandemonia and here she is at the Nina Naustdal show in a yummy colour combo of fudge brown and candy pink.

What better way to compliment a designer than to wear one of their creations to the show. Sinitta is looking very glamorous in a Nina Naustdal dress whilst relaxing with a Snow Queen Vodka cocktail before the show starts. The shoes behind are Karen K.

Sitting on the front row was Louise Thompson from Made In Chelsea fame. After all the show was in Sloane Street.

For my last show of the day, Heohwan Simulation  it was back into Covent Garden to the Vauxhall Fashion Scout venue, and where TV presenter Laura Whitmore was spotted being interviewed for her thoughts on the collection.

What Cocktail dress to Wear whilst drinking a Golden Margarita

Cocktail dresses like the drinks come in an array of colours so here’s a guide on how to mix your cocktail dress.

Golden Margarita – 1 ½ oz Gold tequila, ½ oz orange liqueur, ½ oz fresh lime juice, 3oz sour mix, dash of orange juice, lime wedge and salt

Pour ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake well. Salt the rim of a chilled margarita glass. Strain the ingredients into the glass. Garnish with a lime wedge.  For a long drink pour ingredients in to a tall glass with lots of ice.

Shimmering silver metallic lace over the silk gown and bordered with Swarovksi crystals.

All crystals are hand applied and the beauty of this collection is that you can decide whether you want more or less.

Each bride to be is given a one-on-one consultation with Nina at her boutique store. She uses cleverly disguised boning, corseting and works out the positioning of the crystals to ensure the gown and the bride complement each other .

Each dress is bespoke-made by hand so you can use a design as a base only and of course you don't have to have white or ivory, you can choose caramels, golds or in fact any colour -it's bespoke!. 

The crystals on rich Italian silk evoke the splendour of fine jewellery. The silhouettes are dramatic and feminine at the same time - a great look to be the centre of attention.
