SPORTMAX LAUNCH RESORT 2015 COLLECTION‏

Titled ‘Progression & Motion’ , the starting point for Sportmax Resort 2015 is an expression of feminine movement. The collection works to minimize details and focus on purity. Emphasis is placed on the grace and strength of a woman, exaggerating slight movement with a flurry of pleats or the fullness of a skirt.

Colour palette ranges from classic black and deep blues to vibrant red and mint green with accents of brilliant white.  Sportmax Resort reflects the anticipation of a new spring season and the desire to peel off dark layers and don uplifting colours with fresh light fabrics.  

Gary Hume inspired prints appear textured in haphazard oversized marker scribbles.

Relaxed in nature, the collection juxtaposes with masculine and feminine with mannish slouchy suits and feminine dresses nipped in at the waist .

Titled ‘Concrete Jungle’ –the collection is  inspired by  the early 80’s in New York, when the worlds of music, art, performance and fashion collided, It was a cultural earthquake that started at street level and still rumbles.

Pieces include reversible double wrap coat with the easy slouch of a hoodie;  a shrug jacket in a teddy bear fabric woven from pure cashmere; a kangaroo skin skirt cut to imitate crocodile; and an ultra light unlined shearling cardigan coat. Accessories include dookie chains, messenger bags and street smart bucket hats in snake, pony and leopard.

The collection is transeasonal. As the chilly early months give way to spring, the palette graduates from New York greys and urban indigos to lush leafy greens, rust, saffron and white.

Peter Pilotto Pre-Spring 2015‏ Collection

Peter Pilotto & Christopher De Vos  Pre Spring 15 collection takes inspiration from paper as an artistic medium: collage, papier mache and torn edges.

Fragmented panels of print and block colour are vibrant. Floral motifs are contrasted with modern abstracted interpretation of nature.

Magnified foam is reimagined from delicate lace to opulent prints of magenta, purples,blues, pale pink and gold.

Classical styles are embellished with flashes of embroidery and patchworked patterns are woven boldy across silks,
