Aminaka Wilmont AW11 collection at London Fashion Week

Inspired by totemic tribes with their spirits and animal deities, softly focused digital animal prints  were key to the look titled ‘Totem’
and came in the guise of leggings, jumpsuits, long and short body con dresses and tops all in the soft drape fabric of silk georgette and a colour palette of black, brown, grey and off white.
These were given a harder edge with either chunky leather clogs worn with over the knee socks
or knee and ankle high boots representing the animal’s hoof, and worn with washed leather jackets and shorts.  Not sure about the shearling jacket , although a bit different with its waterfall open front design, it still looked aviator-ish which we all know has been done to death this winter.
For a softer look, loose fitting grey knitted cardigans were worn cinched in with skinny leather belts.
and long fingerless woollen gloves looked quite stylish with the printed maxi dress, whilst leather shorts are softened with a feminine printed blouson.
