For its 40th anniversary Pepe Jeans London recruits
star-studded model line-up to help with the hunt for Pepe! Cara Delevingne, Mia
Goth and Jeremy Young set the pace in finding the ever-elusive Pepe as the next
chapter of the iconic ‘Have You Seen Pepe’ ad campaign unfolds.
This season the chase moves to the brand’s home turf and the
streets of Notting Hill where Pepe Jeans London was born. Underlining Pepe Jeans London’s roots in
Portobello Road the Spring Summer ‘13 campaign draws on some of West London’s
most iconic backdrops.
From the culture-clash streets of Portobello through to the
ornately manicured vistas of Kensington Park, the Pepe crew inch closer to
their old mate in their city-wide search. Still, Pepe continues to outpace his
loyal band of buddies remaining mysteriously out of the picture, begging the
question, ‘Have You Seen Pepe?’, a slogan which follows last season in
underpinning the Autumn Winter ’12 ad campaign.
Taking his position behind the lens is celebrated British
fashion photographer Josh Olins, fashion-forward stylist Claire Richardson, and
presiding over the creative team is Trey Laird, executive creative director at
New York agency Laird & Partners.
This season, Pepe Jeans London introduces a new film-based
campaign to accompany the print-led shots, both of which will be launched and
un-simultaneously in various international territories.
I need a few pair of new jeans, soon!
