The movement behind Neue Musik provides inspiration to A-JANE’s designer, Alice Jane
A-JANE’s A/W19 collection uses a concept of Neue Musik, Atonality, which means music does not follow a key.
This results in inharmonious and almost clashing sounds, sounds of chaos and this is mirrored throughout this collection.
A-JANE’s A/W19 collection emphasises the philosophy behind the Neue Musik movement, spurring on artistic inspiration. Alice is leading the way, by not allowing her creativity to be restricted by the traditional use of flowing lines, shapes, structures or silhouettes. Instead allowing for less structured shapes to appear such as waves and curves,
Alice has decided to use a primary and staple colour pallet to contrast against subtly complex geometric, oversized, structured design elements.
Versatile, modular and reversible elements are used within her designs to create liberation of the unexpected and to manipulate the notion of appeal
