Iconic London statues get polished pink for London Fashion Week

It’s London Fashion Week and the capital’s sense of style is evident everywhere, including on legendary London statues. Passers-by were surprised to see iconic figures getting into the spirit this week and glamming up for the event.

Fashionista Beau Brummel,  Roosevelt and Churchill were just a few of the icons who polished up in honour of the biggest fashion and beauty event of the year.

Pioneer of men's fashion Beau Brummel lived up to his reputation when he was seen sporting on-trend pink neon nails.

While Roosevelt and Churchill, not necessarily known for their fashion sense, were also making an effort with a glamorous shade of pink to mark the occasion.

But these famous legends aren’t the only slaves to fashion, as new research conducted by SensatioNail has revealed that not having your nails painted or having chipped polish is the ultimate fashion faux pas, with more than three quarters of women making this claim (77%).
Our British icons also seemed to agree with the most popular colour choice, as almost a quarter (24%) of the UK said pink is the best shade.

It could be time to take heed of the heroes’ example, as much of the UK is not reaching their full polish potential. Despite 71% of women owning up to 15 nail varnish shades, almost half say they barely use some of them. Eight in ten women even admitted they have forgotten about many of their old nail polishes and never use them!

New SensatioNail Polish to Gel Transformer may have the answer. This home manicure kit enables you to mix any nail polish with a liquid that transforms it into modern gel. A perfect solution for the fifth of women who said they abandoned some of their polish because it chips easily and doesn’t apply well.
Available from select Boots stores nationwide, Boots.com & sensationail.co.uk now at £34.99 until 15/3/16. (Was £49.99)
