Ong Oaj Pairam SS16 at London Fashion Week

Inspired by a myriad of references including the  Photographic book  Swans, Legends of the Jet Society , Ong Oaj Pairam brings a Riviera cool laid back glamour to his day wear and a French  couture style to his evening gowns.

Showing a sense of humour, Tintin is a key source of inspiration in the creation of Ong’s Safari jackets and his trench coats. The camel safari jacket is in supple perforated leather whilst the trench comes in bright yellow suede similar to the colour of Tintin’s hair.

Look closely and you’ll find that the chic jacquard print on this trench coat is not just your classic polka dot but also has tiny silhouettes of butterflies and insects hidden amongst them.

For his SS16 prints, Ong has the jet set life in mind with a stacked suitcases pattern.

 Other prints include a delicate Oriental floral pattern and eerie silhouettes of birds perched on branches

Hand stitched ruffles cocoon the wearer in exaggerated glamour and luxury.

Ong chooses a calming colour palette of utilitarian shades of green, russet, sand, tan and camel representing the jet set’s cosmopolitan travels on safari, to the jungle and yachts anchored on the Riviera. Whist bursts of sky blues and burning yellow, fuchsia and orange show the richness and colourful life of the jet setter.

Hand stitched appliqués and embroidery features tropical birds, butterflies and flowers fused with plastics and traditional Irish techniques.

London’s most enchanting ice rink officially opened with a festive soiree this evening, Wednesday 28th October. Celebrations were centred around the lighting of the 12-metre Christmas Tree, adorned with 2,000 crystal Swarovski ornaments, in the middle of the rink.

Guests were also treated to a fantastic performance by pop sensation Charli XCX.

 A host of celebrity guests including Donna Air, model Lottie Moss, classical singer Camilla Kerslake, Ronan and Storm Keating, comedian and television presenter Matt Richardson, donned their skates and enjoyed festive tipples and canapés at the Ice Rink’s launch; all against the backdrop of London’s iconic Natural History Museum.

As the perfect destination for gifts, Swarovski will also host a pop-up shop retailing its Christmas collection, including ornaments and jewellery, where guests can purchase a piece of Swarovski to add some sparkle to their holiday season. And to truly capture the spirit and happiness of Christmas, guests will be photographed taking a turn on the ice and given the opportunity to take their prints home with them, as a lasting memento of their Swarovski experience.

Wilson PK SS16 Collection at London Fashion Week

Titled 'Paradise lost', the collection is inspired by Dante's 'Divine Comedy'.
Contrasting Art Deco with the notion of Christianity, the collection portrays the inner turbulence of the designer's religious beliefs whilst engaging with the psychedelic romance of his work.

Using waves, textures and colour, Wilson tears apart the conventions of Art Deco, creating a collection that uses minimalist surrealism resulting in a sense of effortlessness.

Pieces include invisible yarn mixed cotton knit tops, flared pants, cocktail and floor length dresses.
teaming up with Stoll technology, Wilson PK has created unique knitwear using Italian cotton and invisible yarn, allowing laser cut marble, art deco beads and reflective acrylic to be inserted into the garments.

Working alongside FABBERZ LONDON, the designer has created luxury laser cut pieces for the collection. From heat press gemstone jumpsuits to batwing tops, the collection features transformative yet highly functional pieces.

Key colours: vanilla cream, emerald green, navy, peach and tangerine which are accented by metallic hues and marble patterns, anc contrasted with structure monotones.

Teresita Orillac SS16 Collection at London Fashion Week

Titled 'Into The Jungle' SS16 collection is inspired by exotic birds and the tropical Panama jungles .

Colour palette is of vivid and abstract splashes of lilac, greens, blues and yellows.

Evening gowns provide elegance with the use of black and sky blue patterns combined with green and bronze hues.

Niro Wang SS16 Collection at London Fashion Week

Inspiration for SS16 is the American forest loggers at the turn of the twentieth century.

The fun graphic pattern is a collaboration with Swedish -Italian illustrator Kiki Ljung

Traditional braces that adorned the lumberjacks have been reinterpreted in a playful way using laser cut reclaimed wood  sheets sourced from the English countryside.

Wang uses unconventional ways of knitting using pure Linen yarn and melange to create an intricate knitted jacquard .
