EWA MINGE Couture Show AW 17 at Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week
Ewa Minge, one of Poland's most well know fashion designers showed her couture AW17 collection at Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week.
Titled 'Fairy Tale', the collection is inspired by old fairy tales
With a boho feel, Minge is also inspired by the culture, music and traditions of the nomadic Roma people..
Fabrics included hand painted silks
hand woven mohair
and sheepskin coats adorned with colourful beaded appliques
Beaded butterfly appliques appear in the collection in honour of the Black Butterflies Charity which Minge founded. The charity supports people struggling with cancer. The butterfly appliques were created by the "students" of the Black Butterflies Foundation as part of the art-therapy.
Under the eye of the designer , women who fight against cancer have made "small works of art" from pearls. And as they say, these butterflies helped us to pass this difficult time during treatment and transported us to another wonderful world where everything is possible. .
Menge also supports the Plus Size Super Models Program and included fuller figure models in her show as she creates for all women and beauty does not have sizes
