VERSACE ATELIER AUTUMN/WINTER 2015

Long slashed-front dresses have one leg covered as if a trouser for contemporary attitude. Tailoring is cut away, such as a one-sided jacket held to the body by gold-buckled corsetry, or skirts peeled back to reveal the hip.

Thin strips of vinyl embroidered onto a transparent base create graphic shapes in a sheer coat or extravagant gown. A new approach to Couture, T-shirt shapes are cut and rolled to create dramatic effects and reveal the skin beneath on a variety of dresses. Embroideries are in a degrade of colour, while semi-transparent nylon is knitted with pockets of crystal metal mesh to sit sinuous on the skin.

Voluminous ball gowns of double duchesse silk coated with silicon have been shaped freely on the body for the spirit of couture today.

The Atelier Versace Spring Summer 2014 show took place Sunday 19th January 2014 in Paris.

Glamour and mystery with a cinched in poise meeting the fluidity and provocation of Grace Jones

Different ways with draping:

Sculpted and controlled to highlight the lines of sleek tailoring 

Or

Liberated and sensual for fluid silk jersey dresses.

Decorative graphic lines are like tattoos on the body, especially when embroidered on invisible tulle.

Hoods attached to jackets and dresses add allure and charm.

Metallic bugle beads are used for geometric embroideries, while silk jersey is often entirely hand embroidered with Swarovski crystals.

Anatomical dresses in black suede are cut and embellished with jet crystals and tiny chains to profile the contours of the body.

Full skirts create elegant volume, made radical in a semi transparent fabric that’s like liquid glass. 

Chains of Swarovski crystal are draped to create the bustier of evening dresses....

Atelier Versace worn by celebrities at 2014 Golden Globe Awards

On 12^th January 2014 in Los Angeles, Uma Thurman and Amber Heard both wore custom made Atelier Versace gowns to the 2014 Golden Globe Awards.
