Windows 7 name UltraBook - the hottest trend in the PC market

Most of us own a laptop and most of us couldn’t live without them.  They have become an essential accessory and like all accessories we want them to look good.  And to help us choose a great looking PC which will also suit our lifestyle needs, Windows 7 has created The Collection.  The Collection features PCs for gaming, entertainment, professional working or just everyday computing, but they all have one thing in common – style.

Asus Zenbook in Hot Pink
One of the hottest trends and ‘must haves’ in the PC market is the Ultrabook.
These are the new ‘super models’ of Windows PC – super slim, powerful and can party all day with their long battery life.  They fit the busy lifestyle, designed for people who work on the go and with Windows 7, tasks can be performed quickly.

Windows 7 Spring collection includes around 25-30 fashion conscious PCs, here’s a few that caught my eye:

The Asus Zenbook UX21

Asus Zenbook - rose gold
This has a cool design of a spun metallic finish in a colour palette of rose gold, hot pink and silver
The design team took inspiration from the thin and light profile of a super high quality watch.
They also wanted to create angular harmony with the side view showing a sharp culminating point on one end and a rounded smooth curve on the other.

HP Envy Spectre
‘Envy’ is the name and that’s what your friends and colleagues will feel when they see this fashion forward ultrabook with its sleek style created by glass.  The glass (thin but also tough and scratch resistant) gives a polished and glossy look.
Has Beats Audio system with 2 high performance speakers. Battery lasts up to 9.5 hours.
Available soon.

Lenovo IdeaPad U300

Inspired by a bound book, the design team gave the laptop U shaped corners and a margin of extension.  The aluminium surface was sandblasted and anodised to make it soft, smooth and durable resulting in a matt metallic finish.
Colour palette in on trend Clementine orange and graphite grey
Has a breathable keyboard.

Samsung Series 7 Slate
A must for the gadget lover.  Its tablet form makes it super portable, but also comes with a stand and separate keyboard to use in the office or at home.
Cool functions are its digitizer pen to write on it (it can be programmed to recognise your handwriting) and the touch screen interface.
RRP £999.99

Toshiba Portege Z830

This super skinny model is a great item to be included in a capsule wardrobe:  taking you from day to night with its classic matt grey palette and its illuminated keyboard allowing you to still keep on typing when the lights are dimmed. Plus the long battery life of up to 8 hours helps.
