KENZO AW15 Womenswear Collection‏

For AW15 Collection KENZO celebrate a collective. They explore togetherness through camaraderie, ceremony and protection. Their abode is the wild, their refuge forged through their friendship with the surrounding trees and forest.

Looks are defined by their warmth, draping and volumes.

Capes and blankets in graphic jacquards and shearlings wrap nocturnal floral printed dresses and trousers.

Tops decorated with cartridge pleats on shoulders and sides add volume whilst feathered leather layers add texture.

Black, forest greens and sun yellows meld with prints of graphic dissected rays or labyrinths.

Delicate fabrics of georgette, fil coupe or chiffon silk juxtaposed with melton wools offer polished notions of armour.

Boucle embroidery adorns on tops and skinny pants

Camouflage prints are distorted.

Accentuating the silhouettes are multicoloured cross body leather backpacks, suede bike bucket bags, and python platform chelsea boots or heels with webbing.

KENZO Spring Summer 2015 Campaign‏

KENZO Spring Summer 2015 campaign reflects the combination of bright and futuristic inspirations from the KENZO  Women's Spring Summer 2015 Collections.

Set in a graphic and modern cityscape, the campaign conveys an optimistic utopia and also provides an element of surprise in the images. The viewer witnesses at once something instantly recognisable and familiar but upon closer reflection records an observation into the unknown.

To imagine the new KENZO world, creative directors Humberto Leon and Carol Lim once again called on the talents of Toiletpaper, a collective composed of artist Maurizio Cattelan, photographer Pierpaolo Ferrari and art director, Micol Talso.

KENZO announces the arrival of the next generation of Kalifornia Bags

KENZO’s street chic Parisian heritage meets laid back west coast cool in the house’s new timeless handbag, Kalifornia.

Born and raised in southern California, Humberto and Carol’s LA heritage is an integral part of the new KENZO point of view.

Distilled from their adolescence among the essential California tribes of beachcombers, bikers, and skaters, this luxe and versatile bag exudes Kenzo’s fresh attitude. Kalifornia is relaxed, yet precise, blending

KENZO’s French atelier craftsmanship with Humberto and Carol’s pacific coast nonchalance.
The soft, deconstructed design is punctuated by two “K“ zip details flanking either side of the bag that double as pockets, an ode to the ultimate biker’s perfecto.

The hardware proportions of the KENZO metal zipper pulls and 3-snap closure are oversized and immediately recognizable as Kalifornia. On the interior, the bag features multiple pockets and holding areas to store all of her most important items.

KENZO Spring/Summer 2014 film by Kahlil Joseph‏ : Dawn in Luxor

KENZO’s Spring/Summer 2014 collection is about California as a nexus of experiences, radiating from Carol Lim & Humberto Leon’s teenage years.

Kahlil Joseph, a resident of Los Angeles, is known for a string of stellar short films and music videos, among which Flying Lotus ‘until the quiet comes’ and Shabazz Palaces ‘Black Up’.
Through his lens, the world appears as fragmentary, paradoxical and beautiful visual riffs. It is a perfect companion to KENZO’s Spring/Summer 2014 collection, which encapsulates California in all its variety: soft and hard, relaxed and intense, sophisticated and casual.
In this short film, Kahlil Joseph conjures up an otherworldly Los Angeles, awash in myths and visions: a man ordering fish in a Jamaican restaurant, the regal beauty of a woman overlooking the sea, a beautiful boy paying homage to a beached dolphin. This amalgamation of images is deployed through a loose narrative driven by pure emotion.
