The ApuJan Spring Summer 2017 collection was inspired by an ‘Ancient Summer Night’s Dream’.

The dream was set in a fantasy world filled with dinosaurs and fossils. The fossils of the dinosaurs and plants evolved into petroleum, wavering between the stripes and plaids. It was a deep, silent and ancient dream. “Clothing is the way in which we tell stories about ourselves”

Colour palette includes a variety of blue hues as well as conventional colours such as black and white to make for a very versatile yet wearable collection.

Stripes, plaids and graphic prints run throughout the designs all presented on self-developed jacquard fabrics, blue, white and black silks, and cotton knits.

London based brand ApuJan is well known for integrating fiction inspired designs with unique knitwear techniques.  The in depth engagement of literature themes in each season enables the designs to appear both real and surreal.

Every design emphasizes on the feminine form and the precise use of various knitwear techniques.

The combination of traditional and oriental elements with a contemporary twist; blending bold with a touch of casualness can be found in each collection and recognised as ApuJan’s essence.

ApuJan is currently stocked in concesion shops in Shin Kong Place Suzhou and select shops in both London and Taipei. Price points range from £200 - £1,200
