Fashion Hong Kong presents: Maison Vermillion AW18 at London Fashion Week

The British Fashion Council has partnered with the Hong Kong Trade Development Council as the latter brings four of its native designers to the fore at London Fashion Week.
One of the labels is Maison Vermillion created by Dora Chu.

Titled  ‘The Greatest of Thee’  Dora’s inspiration came from the love affair between King Henry VIII of England and Anne Boleyn in the 15th century. Boleyn's unique character, intelligence and charm, in the modern interpretation, epitomises the power of feminism – especially relevant in the current climate. Subtle floral patterns and lace applique are balanced by Tudor and modern silhouettes.

Dora collaborated with the famous paper-cutting artist Li Yunxia to combine two delicate skills – Western lace-making with the traditional Chinese art of papercutting – to create one-of-a-kind, wearable art.
